Founded by writer-director Robert James Verlander and producer Louise Clynch an industry stalwart with 25 years experience working in the film and TV industry, Stilllight was created as a space for stories that speak quietly but stay with you. With a background in screenwriting, story development, and hands-on production, Robert’s work centres on tension, silence, and the complexity of human connection.

At Stilllight, we believe in cinema that listens. Whether set in the aftermath of war, the hush between strangers, or the margins of memory, our work is driven by restraint, intimacy, and truth.
